This apprenticeship is available as a Level 3 Standard; A team leader/supervisor is a first line management role, with operational/project responsibilities or responsibility for managing a team to deliver a clearly defined outcome. They provide direction, instructions and guidance to ensure the achievement of set goals. Working in the private, public or third sector and in all sizes of organization, specific responsibilities will vary, but the knowledge, skills and behaviors needed will be the same whatever the role. The Level 3 Standard has a duration of 18 months on program.
Management is available as a Level 3 Framework; Developed for supervisors and first line managers who have operational responsibility for a defined area of activity, this qualification gives junior managers the communication and motivational skills to help improve operational efficiency. Our Level 3 Award in First Line Management provides an introduction to the skills, roles and responsibilities of this management area. It will also develop your basic knowledge by focusing on the development of specific management skills. Entry Requirements: These qualifications can be offered to Learners from age 19. CMI does not specify entry requirements for these qualifications, but Centers are required to ensure that Learners admitted to the program have sufficient capability at the right level to undertake the learning and assessment. The Level 3 Framework has a duration of 18 months on program.
Junior Management Consultant is available as a Level 4 Standard; Management consultants provide business advice to public, private and not-for-profit organizations. This usually involves helping them solve a challenge of some kind, such as how to grow their business, how to make it more efficient or how to organize and structure itself in a different way. Some specialist consultancies have a particular focus – for example, how to write proposals for new work, or how to change an organization or how to develop their workforce. Others are more generalist and you could work across several different types of project. Working on client site away from your office is a possibility, while hours are varied and often depend on the project. The Level 4 Standard has a duration of 24 months on program.
Management and Leadership are available as a Level 5 Framework; this qualification is for the development of the role and skills of managers. This qualification aims to develop personal management capabilities, make effective use of information in decision-making, operations and the development of the skills in managing people. Associate Project Manager is available as a Level 4 Standard; Projects can be defined and delivered within different contexts, across diverse industry sectors. They can be large or small. Every project needs to be managed to ensure its success, An associate project manager knows what needs to be achieved, how it will be achieved, how long it will take and how much it will cost, and works with the project team to achieve the required outcomes. Associate project managers need good planning, organization, leadership, management and communication skills. An associate project manager utilizes resources with suitable skills, qualifications, experience and knowledge to work together in a motivated and integrated team, with clearly defined reporting lines, roles, responsibilities and authorities. Dependent upon the size of the organizations and the complexity of projects, associate project managers’ job titles will vary, but typically they can include: assistant project manager, junior project manager, project team leader. Some organizations use ‘project manager’ as a generic job title.
The Level 4 Standard has a duration of 24 months on program.
Operations/Department Manager is available as a Level 5 Standard; An operations/departmental manager is someone who manages teams and/or projects, and achieving operational or departmental goals and objectives, as part of the delivery of the organizations strategy. They are accountable to a more senior manager or business owner. Working in the private, public or third sector and in all sizes of organization, specific responsibilities and job titles will vary, but the knowledge, skills and behaviors needed will be the same. Key responsibilities may include creating and delivering operational plans, managing projects, leading and managing teams, managing change, financial and resource management, talent management, coaching and mentoring. Roles may include: Operations Manager, Regional Manager, Divisional Manager, Department Manager and specialist managers. The Level 5 Standard has a duration of 30 months on program.
Chartered Management is available as a Level 6 Standard; A Chartered Manager is someone who can take responsibility for people, projects, operations and/or services to deliver long term organizational success, with the professional recognition of their ability to deliver impact, behave ethically and demonstrate their commitment to continual learning and development. The Level 6 Standard has a duration of 48 months on program.
