Live Events and Promotion involves everything to do with putting on a show or event from promoting the event to staging it. Live events can be indoors or outdoors, one off events or tours and small to large scale productions.

This apprenticeship is available as a Level 2 Framework; the apprentice could work as Event Promotion Support Staff, covering publicity activities and contributing to the production and distribution of publicity for live events, assisting in the production of press releases and presenting live event ticket sales information. The Level 2 Framework has a duration of 12 months on program.

This apprenticeship is available as a Level 3 Framework in Events Promotion; the apprentice might be working as Venue and Stage Crew where they will load in, break-down and load out equipment for a live event. They will safely support the set-up of the stage, instruments, sound and lighting for the live event, or as an Events Assistant, undertaking activities to secure funding, support the licensing and permissions application processes, research and assess the appropriateness of a venue or contribute to the preparation of contracts. The Level 3 Framework has a duration of 24 months on program.

This apprenticeship is available as a Level 3 Framework; technical theatre is part of the Performing Arts Industry.  Apprentices in these roles have the option to train in lighting, sound or staging. You will study in your chosen field to become qualified and proficient in the application of technical theatre skills, allowing progression onto higher level courses or into professional employment. The Level 3 Framework has a duration of 24 months on program.

This apprenticeship is available as a Level 3 Standard; Live Event Riggers ensure the infrastructure for the scenic, lighting, sound and audio-visual elements of a live event are installed safely, in accordance with technical plans which they are able to read and interpret. They assemble modular structural components as well as lifting these elements into place. They may be responsible for attaching additional equipment. Working in a sometimes fast paced and pressured environment, Live Event Riggers will show logic and ability to safely work individually, as well as being part of a team, to meet client deadlines. The Level 3 Framework has a duration of 24 months on program.
