Articulated/Drawbar Driver is available as a Level 2 Framework; it is ideal for anyone seeking a career driving and delivering goods by articulated or draw bar vehicles, and aims to give individuals the knowledge and skills they need to work in the road transport industry.

Apprentices will work (usually alone) making deliveries to warehouses, distribution centers, shops or private homes, and will be away from their base during the day and sometimes overnight. They will also be responsible for their vehicle and load, as well as keeping accurate records for deliveries and returns. The Level 2 Framework has a duration of 12 months on program.

Driving Goods Vehicle is available as a Level 2 Framework; Apprentices can work as drivers of vans, rigid vehicles and articulated Lorries, or as motorcycle/cycle couriers. Advanced Apprentices will take on more responsibility for looking after drivers and moving towards team leader roles. This framework will provide opportunities to move into Level 3 jobs and training in other parts of the Logistics Sector such as Traffic Office Management. The Level 2 Framework has a duration of 12 months on program.

Logistics Operations is available as a Level 2 Framework; Logistics Operations Apprenticeships provide learners with knowledge and skills in specialist areas of expertise. Areas include mail and package distribution, warehousing and storage, import and export, driving goods, traffic office and transport departments. The Level 2 Framework has a duration of 13 months on program.

This Logistics Operations is available as a Level 3 Framework is ideal if you work in logistics operations and have a great deal of technical skills and knowledge. You work with minimum supervision and have a good record of safety, fault correction and meeting required standards. Progression route from this framework would be into first-line management. The Level 3 Framework has a duration of 2 months on program.

Warehouse and Storage is available as a Level 2 Standard; Warehouse Operatives communicate with a wide range of people and customers. They have a passion to meet customers’ expectations by providing a quality service that encourages repeat business. Individuals in this role are highly competent in using industry-recognized systems and associated services (e.g. Traffic/Warehouse Management Systems) and will be able to work under pressure to tight deadlines. A Warehouse Operative will often be required to be flexible and work shifts including 4-on-4-off, days, nights, evenings and weekends. Entry Requirements: English and Math’s requirements: Apprentices without Level 1 English and math’s will need to achieve this level and take the test for Level 2 English and math’s prior to taking the end-point assessment. The Level 2 Standard has a duration of 12 months on program.

This apprenticeship is available as a Level 2 Framework; the apprenticeship is made up of mandatory units which cover the essential skills required for working in a warehousing environment, such as Health and Safety and developing effective working relationships. There are then a variety of optional units to choose from which focus on the specific tasks you carry out within your role which could include: Wrapping and packing goods, Processing and assembling orders, Maintaining equipment, work areas and hygiene standards, Moving and/or handling goods, Using equipment to move/handle goods, Stock keeping, Supervising the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods. The Level 2 Framework has a duration of 24 months on program.

This apprenticeship is available as a Level 3 Framework; Completing Warehousing and Storage level 3 will give you a deeper understanding of warehousing and logistics in a supervisory or team leader position. Throughout the qualification, you will cover a range of activities carried out by senior staff members. You will learn various techniques of how to manage and improve team performance, as well as how to respond to issues that arise in the workplace. The role will require you to develop both you and your team’s skills to ensure the department runs smoothly. The Level 2 Framework has a duration of 24 months on program.
