Pre-apprenticeships are a great way to gain practical experience whilst studying. A pre-apprenticeship is ideal if you already have some of the skills and attitudes that employers seek or if you have completed the Study Programme, as pre-apprenticeships are designed to be a bridge to an apprenticeship.
If you would like to get on the ladder towards an apprenticeship, this is the route for you as:
- It is designed for those of you who have chosen a specialist vocation and have the skills and ability to complete a substantial vocational qualification;
- Pre-apprenticeships help people get ready for working life;
- They help improve your maths and English skills / qualifications.
There will either be an exit, formal job or apprenticeship interview on completion of the programme, for all students that successfully complete it – usually with the placement employer.
