Goole College in partnership with HCUK Training is set to launch the Goole Business & Logistics Centre next month for local employers and businesses.
The Business & Logistics Centre is part of a £500,000 expansion project for Goole College to establish a bespoke training and skills offer in Business and Management programmes, as well as conference and meeting facilities for local employers and businesses such as BMW, CatUK, Drax, Croda and Tesco Distribution.
The expansion project has been co- funded by the Humber Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and the college. The new facility will provide high quality conference facilities and will offer training solutions for businesses along with qualifications from a wide range of nationally recognised professional bodies including the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD), the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) and the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).
Caron Wright, Goole College Principal, said: “The Business & Logistics Centre will support the college’s strategy to provide a curriculum offer which meets the developing needs of learners, employers and businesses to provide industry recognised skills which can in turn facilitate economic growth and sustainability.
“Goole College, alongside HCUK Training, is an established hub which enables local business to connect within an educational and skills setting, to influence curriculum and program development and ensure skills training meets the immediate and longer term needs of local employers.”
The Business & Logistics Centre is located on the existing Boothferry Road site and is conveniently positioned for businesses in the Goole area and wider M62 region. The facility has easy access to junction 36 of the M62 and is generally well connected by rail, regional airports (Doncaster, Robin Hood Airport) and by the port of Goole canal and river network.
More details of the launch will be communicated on the Goole College and HCUK Training websites. For details of the courses and training to be available at the Business & Logistics Centre, please contact the HCUK Training Team on 0300 330 20 10 or connect with us on Twitter @hcuk_training.
